I have a few work ambrose day's coming up on Thursday and Monday and i'd like to be able to get off the tee. Are there any short term fixes i could try just to get me past these next couple of rounds? just need something to patch me up while i take time to work on the other stuff.. i know people will say fix the pivot but it ain't going to happen in the next 5 days!! Thanks! Often an OTT move is due to the fact most people don't know 'where' to strike the ball. Because you hit the ball prior to low point, the ball must be struck down and OUT... Try having more 'out' to the stroke which might only be slight with the driver due to the balls positioning being pretty close to low point. Most people when they try to hit the ball, they try and hit directly at the back of the ball, which seems logical until you think about the geometry of the circle a bit, when they should be thinking about hitting the inside quadrant. If you can mentally draw a line from impact point to low point, you have your angle of approach... try and strike the ball in this direction....
