The point of contact is pressure point #1 - where the butt of the right hand meets the base of the left thumb, on plane, in the direction the right forearm is pointing and 'out to right field' a bit. The push is the entire primary lever assembly, the left arm and club - the left arm flying wedge. Imagine the left arm and club is a 2x4.
