This is not exactly a bombshell, Dave, but the correct grip size is determined by the size of your Hands. More specifically, the length of your fingers and their relation to the size of your palm.
For the record, I don't have what I would consider large hands -- they're kind of medium-sized -- but I use a
Mid-Size grip (larger than
Standard) with
two wraps of tape beneath. As a result of this slightly larger grip and its build-up, the last three fingers of my left hand lightly touch the bulbous muscle beneath the thumb. That is the test of proper grip size.
And yes, it is definitely "easier to hold onto!"
