I agree with you here. Many years ago before I knew of TGM, I believe I probably used Special Wrist Action. Why I feel that way is because I would always break the original Medicus hinge club in the takeaway because my clubface was looking at the ball.

In the past few years as I've learned more TGM, I've used a Standard Wrist Action (start up swivel) takeaway as it seems to blend better with the sequenced release of the downswing. As a result I can now use the Medicus Hinge club without having it break.

I did not know in the past that the Hinge club was designed for a Swinging Stroke pattern with a Standard Wrist Action.
