I'm going to put it on a "spare" for Justin. Just in case it works! I believe that Ralph Maltby varies the thickness of his own grips, but not uniformly i.e. he adds a bit for where the right hand meets the grip. Ultimately, I agree that with good alignments and extensor action you ought to be able to pure most anything. I guess I am still harping on the idea that given the importance of gripping under the heel pad with the left hand it should not be the thickest part of the grip...unless you have bangers for fingers (ask Neil) I will sacrifice an old Titleist 962 B 7 iron to find out!
