You hear a lot of people say stuff like "you must hit the ball first", or "keep your weight towards the target". But, if you're doing it correctly in the first place, you should bit hitting the ball first anyway!

So, my suggestion is, just swing as you would normally. When I say normally, I’m assuming you have a 3-dimensional impact, direct thrust downwards, etc. None of this move ball backwards, etc. nonsense, unless you want to produce special effects.
