I suspect that like most people your earlier outside /inside stroke and associated compression loss was a reflection of one of golf's common "seems as if's" ......(it should work but it doesnt) ....Steering namely. The linear logic of the pool shot with its inline pool cue does not translate to golf given the golf club's: lie angle (Inclined Plane of motion) , hooked face (Hinge Action) and its resulting circular (Angular) Motion. Golf as Homer noted being a 'Hinge Action of an Angular Motion on an Inclined Plane". In fact the more linear you get it ........the more you produce what Homer termed "the cut shot" see diagram 2-C something or other (sorry dont have my book with me). Then compare that diagram to Steering again. I'll have to study this some more. The involuntary cut shot was earlier something I produced all the time - except when I pulled it instead. __________________ Air Last edited by airair : 04-19-2011 at 12:08 PM. airair View Public Profile Send a private message to airair Find all posts by airair
