Nahhh...that's just the withdrawal symptoms. Pass a chicken wing under his nose and he'll roust out of the stupor.

We're still hammering out the finer details in the gallery section. It will change to a flash version in the coming week.

We've worked out most of our database issues and think we found a bug in the widely deployed MySQL code that millions of commercial servers use. We know how to work around it, we've tested it and have multiple backup routines in place to avoid having it ever happening again. The bad news is that we lost some great golf posts over the Christmas/New Years period. So while those memories are still fresh, let's get it kicking again.

If anyone makes copies of posts, feel free to put them back up under the thread titles. Databases are strange beasts and all of the conversation threads are still intact.

Thanks Bambam for sacrificing the weekend to get things rolling again. He took advantage of the downtime and put some new clothing on the site along with an upgraded gallery section to handle the upcoming flash upgrade, and a little Brian Gay preview video.

(Not an easy thing to do during the Chrysler Classic and NFL playoffs)

LBG is open for business!

My thanks to both Bagger and Bambam for their tireless and selfless efforts to make LBG work for all.

This past week's conversion was necessary to continue the expansion of products and services we offer our members, and the loss of a few weeks' posts, while clearly unintentional and disheartening, is a small price to pay for the benefits that lie ahead.

We weren't quite ready to roll out our enhanced site, but we decided to use the downtime caused by our data loss problem to accelerate the process. This is in no way a finished product. Hang with us the next couple of weeks as we put new color schemes in place and, in general, tidy up the joint. We will reward your patience!

We welcome all comments and suggestions in the Forum and Web Site Suggestions forum (under The Club Office).

A bit of good news
We were able to extract some of the data from the corrupted private messages table, but only up through around Jan. 11. We'll try to do the same thing with the posts, but that table appears to have sustained more damage than the PM table.

It has been three weeks since this post (I have been anxiously awaiting and counting). I am trying to be patient, but it is difficult. We got a little hint of what might be available on the "enhanced site" with the Brian Gay video. OK..OK.. enough already, my appetite is whetted. Could you give us a little more information, pleeeeeeease!!!
New videos?
Yoda DVD?
Equipment (Pro Shop)?
Other exciting things?

I am trying to be patient, but not very successfully. When can we expect to see the "enhanced site"?

Thanks for all you do!
Kit

This is the ghost of Bucket's Past . . . I have been haunting Mike O for several days now . . . Mike did your toothpaste smell remotely like Preparation H???

Did y'all know that Mikey shaves his ENTIRE body?

Oh and by the way . . . what the heck is up with the small font? I'm on the quarterly plan . . . my buddies keep telling me I'm gonna go blind. Is this phase one? Can we get a LARGE PRINT VERSION???

Holla! Back to making funny noises in Mikey's closet . . . not sure what all the rubber pants are about . . . whatever.

I've had a couple reports of small font, but apparently that's not happening for everyone. Check your browser's font size setting to make sure it didn't slip down to small or smaller. I'll check out things on our end, also

Huge Font Problem

Ben,

It appears to be the text in the middle of the page. To the left side, under LynnBlakeGolf, the text appears to be normal or one font size on the small side. On the Left side under "User CP" "Private Messages" and "Online Users" some of the text is black or really dark green which makes it impossible to read. If you send me your regular email address, I could send you some screen shots of what it looks like on this end.
