Mike,Nelson had a mild clotting disorder that has frequently been reported in print as hemophilia. Not true, full-blown hemophilia, though.
This is the first I read about it. I knew he taught in NJ and found the hemophillia reference when I was fact checking. thanks for the "rest of the story"
