I guess what I really wanted to know is the difference is between the "aiming point" and the "swing bottom" I dont have the yellow book so Bobby's book is my first real foray (other than Yoda's site of course) into TGM instruction.
"swing bottom" is Low Point in Machine terms. It is simply the lowest point of the arc.
Aiming Point is a point at which you are directing thrust along your delivery line . . . like a bunker shot sort of but you don't make the club hit there you make the thrust go there. It is basically a point at which you aim thrust via your hands.
I gotcha, and since the hands are ahead of the club head they would naturally be forward of the ball at impact. Cool...
I aimed my hands with my driver about three inches in front the ball the other night and hit a 309 yd drive to the hole. Needless to say the book helped me not to be so ball concious, because Ive never in my golfing life done that. So much for swing up with my driver, that will never happen again if I can help it
