1...how essential is the acc #4 for hitters

3...do you have any drills for downswing
thank you in advance
1...how essential is the acc #4 for hitters? It is a four barrel stroke (4, 1,2,3) for Hitters. This allows the pivot via the right shoulder thrust to start the acceleration of the Down Stroke. Without acc4, the Hit Stroke acceleration is all acc1. Acc count when they are actions. They all have motion in any golf stroke.
2...would this assist my search for lag? Yes and no. For a Hitter Lag is load against pp3 and is driven at start down by acc1 even if acc4 is first used. You want to make sure that pp3 is fully loaded and ready to be driven. Acc4 use will increase pivot Lag. Each componenet of the stroke should "Drag" its proceding componenet, ie/ bottom up. Acc4 will increase this swinger type drag but acc1- Drive Loading- is still the real power source for a Hitter.
3...do you have any drills for downswing. Sorry no, but what about the downswing are you trying to correct. "Start Down" waggles are great, 3-F-5.
