Many hitters slide/-bumb the hips out to the right field......not towards the target...
Anyway, you want to go back with the right shoulder on a horizontal plane, then in the downswing you want to move the right shoulder down towards the ball on the turned shoulder plane. You want to do that without bobbing or swaying your head. Try to do some pivots with the focus on your right shoulder movement, then check out what the hips does.....
