The vertical edge of a snow bank created by a snowblower along the edge of driveway and/or sidewalk is a "superior" impact bag and is renewable. It "Records" swing data, great visual feedback, Many more useful properties. Be creative.

Bear, I have seen many differing angles and edges as I shovel the snow for my home and the widow's on either side. I have discovered that a Horizontal Hinge with the back of the shovel clears more snow than an Angle Hinge. Some of the ice formations allow for very interesting planes.
