I'm proud to announce that I managed to win my clubs gross match play championship today. It was a bit of struggle though. Cold, 50 degrees, high winds and rain going sideways. The struggle however was entirely internal, as I lost my swing about half way through the match and saw a three hole lead disappear by 17.

At that point I asked Yoda (spiritually, wettly, coldly for help). His vision appeared before me and responded "stop practicing and start playing. Dont play how to, just play. Grip it firmly and use your pressure points". I've excluded the vulgarities, which I found to be very out of character for such a true gentleman. I dont think Ghost Yoda liked the weather maybe.

Anyways, I managed a par putt to hold even. Eighteen saw me hit a decent three wood down the left side into a puddle that I took relief from. My competitor played his second to about 20 feet. I grabbed a 6 iron, gripped it and sustained it to about 12 feet. He missed and I made. One up.

Thanks again Yoda. I truly couldnt have done it without all you have taught me over the last few years and your ghostly pep talk today.
