Thanks for the input,
EdZ,
You just mentioned two of the best ball strikers in history. I know that the goal is perfection, but is it possible to perform TGM properly doing it the Snead and Trevino way? Assuming my plane line is not bent, just a little left.

Absolutely.
It is the CLUB that needs to be swung and your HANDS that ultimately direct what the club does.
TGM boils down to the imperatives and essentials.
The imperatives and essentials give you efficient force.
The best players in history have always known how to sustain the line of compression, for the shot they intend.

I guess you were very likely on-plane, yet the clubface was square at impact and slightly close at separation.
I would try to hit the inside-after quad. of the ball (or hit the ball slightly to the right of the target) to make the face slightly open at impact and square to the target at separation.

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the " LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain ( Yang/陽) the lag ( Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" ( 陰陽合一).
The " LAW" creates the " effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the " cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
" Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.

Remember the Plane Line and Line of Flight or Target Line are not the same thing.
Check out Yoda and VJ's video on the Cut Shot.
