Yes i do take divots. even when the divots are after the ball it still happens sometimes. but i also hit it fat too. Sometimes i take a small divot. Every once in a great while i will pure a shot. I am a pretty strong person. I am hitting my driver just fine. I am averaging 240 yds with a fade(being honest here). So i think the problem might be in sweeping at the ball. I am a swinger by the way...

Golf is a tough game. However especially starting, you need to get an instructor which will help you. Ideally this will be a golfing machine instructor and there are none finer than Lynn here. However if fiancial or other reasons don't allow this, rather than go through a labyrinth without any kind of map I would then urge you to even see any instructor that has any success in your area. No teacher can really harm you - all you have is gains to make. If you are hitting it 75 yards with your all your irons, you have major problems in your stroke but don't despair about it. Beat it with persistance and dilligence.

In the words of Harry Vardon

"don't stop hitting the ball"....

Golfs too good to quit !

I would love to find a golf machine instructor. However i live in Washington state and the nearest one i could find on the golf machine website is a guy who lives on the other side of the state. Anyone know of any instructors out in the Seattle area?
