Reread definitions ....Angular Velocity/Angular acceleration vvery related to RPM's if not just looking through another pair of spectacles...


No low pitches....just curves balls that start at the head and end in the dirt...but then again ...watch out for the hard "high and tighty"

Angular Velocity and RPM are different definitions of the same thing.

Surface speed = Angular velocity * radius, the unit is m/s
Surface speed = (2 * radius * pi * RPM)*60, the unit is m/s

I could stand for correction:

BUT ...

Arc Velocity is a measurement along the circumferece(travel distance)
Angular Velocity is a measurement around an axis of rotation(instantaneous centers)


I will go through my notes from class (ExSC 570 - Biomechanics for Educators - Dr. Brian Bergeman here at Campbell University) to see if I'm correct and will post them later
