Collin's Uncle Paul Neeman -- quarterfinalist in this year's Missouri Amateur -- called Sunday and told me the news about the ace on the par 4.

The hole normally plays just over 300 yards as a dogleg right around water. On this particular day, the tees were up, and the wind was favoring. So, Collin let fly a screaming 3-wood directly over water that playing companion Uncle Paul says "never left the flag."

Great stuff, Collin.

Congratuations!

P.S. If you do enter and make the qualifier for the Chattanooga Classic, I'll be at Black Creek to watch you play. Meanwhile, realize that the professional tours are the 'Land of the Meateaters.' Of the few players that earn cards, only the best survive. And it is that excellence that we, the general public, pay to see.
