Digging over old threads and found this one. Was Alex Morrison the first to suggest "poniting the chin" to the right...like Jack Nicklaus??
I have a few Morrison books and he certainly popularised it as a technique.
Does it work through encouraging better balance in the downswing... keeping the head to the right slightly allows a better uncocking motion whilst staying in balance??
It helps keep the right shoulder from moving out over plane, with the chin back, the right shoulder has a 'track' to move downplane properly. It also encourages better accumulator release sequence.

That makes alot of sense - thanks EdZ.
Alex Morrison was obviously on to something that improved swings...but understanding why it works makes it more useful.
Thanks
