WoW! My 100th post was something that even Maste Yoda did not see before. It was said the machine was located in a San Francisco golf school, year 1930, to teach Bobby Jones golf swing.
I have extended video of this somewhere in my video collection. Although I haven't watched it in quite a few years, If memory serves this video was taken arround the time of WWII, not sure about 1930. I'll get back when I have more info.
To help Bobby Jones swing in 1930? Don't think he needed much help . KOC do you have any further information?
Neat video. I would love to see more if anyone has more.
Judging from the attire of the ladies, it looks like the Roaring 20's to me. Yoda may be able to help us out here........

I mean to teach the swing of Bobby Jones to other golfers!

Mike,
Thanks for reminding me. I believe the video that I have of this came from "The Complete History of Golf" that was produced by the PGA of America in 1992 and narrated by Pat Summerall. I will have to go through the four volume set to find the exact date. I will get back to you. Hopefully, in less than four years.
I was absolutly enthralled to see this "machine",now, this means NOTHING ,but, when I was just mucking around just for excercise sake ,I decided to ACT LIKE THE MACHINE,but, envisaged my shoulders rotating as per M/C,plus the footwork...I used 60deg wedge, chuck in straight R/arm DTL and results were amazing....had a few hit the pin, 1 dropped in,I was only 20-30 yds...no more and just rotating as I said. Next time when u want a play or loosen up ,try it its fun for sure
