I agree. I have had great success with students when they ask about grip pressure by illustrating the following. I will have the student take a half swing into an impact bag and "hold" their finish into the bag. I will them ask what their grip pressure feels like and they all say "firm". I will then have them start with this pressure and maintain it. I call it "impact grip Pressure".
Totally with you there Jeff, can you believe after all the tuition I've had,that I only really worked on this recently?.
I just read the book, checked a few threads on this forum,-and read my notes which I made after falcons fire.I discovered why I was having pivot problems again-I was not monitoring my hands.
Then I did the JEFF HULL drill (it is how it appears in my notebook)-three swings over the ball -full release and swivel-WHILST MONITORING THE HANDS-and bingo!--I'm now striping it again -and Saturday I was ready to give up!
