Could be that you are over doing the trigger delay deal. If you keep your left hand turned to the plane too long you could actually be "stuck" and leading with the hosel. You can shank with too much "out" and with too much "in."

I feel this is definitely possible. I've really weakened my left hand grip since last fall and am struggling with the proper amount of roll. For some reason I equate the clubface turning off the plane with throwaway and hate the way that "feels." So I'm looking for this max trigger snap release but I can't lag the sweetspot enough.

What are you TRYING to do with your swing?

Max trigger, snap release low boring draw w/ all shots. At least this is preferred. I'll settle for low trajectory and deal w/ curvature.

What are your bad shots doing? Trajectory? Start line? Curvature?

Current ball flight is a high pull-cut hosel shot. Ball starts left of center and cuts right of center.

Any chance you need to be better fit for your equipment? A fair amount of compensations and poor swings can really be based in gear that doesn't fit, and hence doesn't allow you to make the proper motion.

Good point. I feel good about my specs. I've had these sticks dynamically fit so I know the lie angles, etc. are good.

Are you hitting any Shanks?

You betcha, lots of 'em. Mostly when I'm trying a semi-basic motion with something like a 5 iron - trying to hit a punch or a low pitch to feel compression.

Someone mentioned ball position and if anything, it's probably too far forward. Everything is pretty much off the inside of my heel, probably in line w/ my big toe for the driver.

I find heel shots are a result of the path being too in to out, and conversly toe shots out to in. Unless you make some kind of ungolflike move I think it is tough to pipe one with the ball too far forward, although I suspect someone can do it from anywhere!

you may also want to consider that you may not be measuring for impact like you know to do per 2-J-1. Like may I used to address the ball dead on the sweetspot with the clubface so-called "square." To quote my old coach "Your swing looks great...I don't understand why you are hooking it so much!" Unlike Hogan I did not find it in the dirt...net result? Semi-retirement! Measure twice...flush it once! I could not bring myself to say "cut! "But do it with a dash of speed, a sense of haste, and a pinch of urgency. Slow play kills! Unlike what Boo Weekely said...golf is supposed to be moving!

If you sway left, which effectively moves the ball back, it's pretty easy...how do I know? don't ask.
