Look at 12-3-0 Mechanical Checklist for All Strokes. There is no impact point number but a section that includes (36) the clubhead lag and its approach, (37) an online uncocking, (38 ) an online release swivel (39) ON LINE HINGE ACTION (40) Extensor Action, (41) Finish Swivel.
Great post, Mike. Thanks!
You have highlighted a very important point: Namely, that dynamically you swing through Impact, not to Impact. This "Through the Ball" motion (7-24) occurs from Release (Section 9); through Impact (Section 10); to the end of the Follow-Through (Section 11). These Sections are so grouped (as one) in the Mechanical Checklist (12-3) and labeled Section 9/10/11 -- Impact. This Release Sequence and its alignments constitutes the essence of the Golf Stroke. Mastering its Feel is the primary focus of TOUR players and is what keeps them on the practice ground hours each day.
That said, the purpose of the Checklist is to enable the golfer to systematically improve the Stroke's execution on a Section-by-Section basis. To that end, there are six consecutive line items in 12-3 devoted entirely to Impact (as a static event with pre-programmed alignments). Those items are found in Section 2 . . . Impact Fix.
