Aft is not what you may think!
I had assumed aft of the shaft meant as I was looking down on my grip.
However I think it is more appropriate to think of it in terms of aft side when looking at the angle of descent or direction of force so you hitters can drive PP#1 down and through the ball and swingers can guide it through the ball. So your thumb will be just to the right of the top of the shaft as you look down on your grip.
I am not sure if I explained it properly!
I hope someone more versed in TGM will correct me if I am wrong and use proper terminology.
