I'm being overloaded with information from the Alignment Golf putting DVD. One thing I was thinking about is the brief talk on putter length. I'm 6'3 and play with a 34.5" putter. More often than not I find myself chocking up 1.5-2" on the grip. After hearing the talk on putter length I'm thinking of putting my putter under the knife. Would 1.5" be too much or should I not bother with it and continue chocking up? Perhaps I should practice the information on the DVD and then make a decision? Even working on the various methodologies from the DVD I still feel more comfortable chocking up.
If you're afraid to shorten the putter, you could replace the grip with a non-taper grip and choke up as far as you need to.
