Drew Chapman, Rhode Island PGA Teacher of the Year
Drew Chapman, PGA, has been voted the 2010 Rhode Island PGA Teacher of the Year.
Wow!
Drew was one of the first to enlist on this site (#7 / Drewitgolf) and has been a Professional Contributor since inception http://lynnblakegolf.com/index.php/P...-gseb-pga.html. I'm also proud to say that he has earned the designation Lynn Blake Certified Senior Instructor.
Here's the press release regarding Drew's latest achievement from his home club, Highland CC, in Attleboro, Massachusetts:
Congratulations to our own Head Professional Drew Chapman as he enters his twenty fifth year at Highland. Last night during the Rhode Island PGA Annual Spring Meeting at Wannamoisett Country Club, Drew received the prestigious Rhode Island PGA Teacher of the Year Award. This Award bestows special recognition on the PGA Professional who has performed outstanding service as a golf instructor.
The criteria used in determining the winner includes:
- Overall performance as a PGA Professional at his facility;
- Service to his PGA Section and Association;
- Leadership ability; Image and ability to inspire his fellow PGA Professionals; and
- Involvement and promotion in growing of the game of golf
- Techniques for Teaching.
Congrats on all your achievements, Drew, and thanks for all you've given us here at LBG.
We're proud of you!

Drew, very well done. My warmest Congratulations.
I heard that PGA members from all over Rhode Island attended and many arrived 15 minutes early..........because they didn't allow for traffic.

The traffic may be light in Rhode Island, but . . .
There are more than 1,100 -- read ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED -- members of the Rhode Island PGA.
And 'our guy' was recognized and honored as #1.
Truly an honor, Drew.
