Just a quick note to thank Yoda for a marvelous presentation. I was the least educated of the bunch on TGM. I have been to many teaching summits and Yoda blew them all out of the water. One thing that impressed me most was the structure that all who attended had in their actions. You would be hard pressed to find this consistency in a random group of teaching professionals. Rob Noel has been beating the importance of structure into my head for a while now. It took this class to really open my eyes to the importance. It is easy to get off track and worry about everything that is "downstream". Thanks again to Yoda, Rob, and all who attended. I think I'll go take up some slack. Chad Jensen
Lynn explained the book as Homer explained it to him, and noboby does that any better than Lynn.
We also saw Lynn do some 'quickies" with the talented group and even watch a half-hour with a novice golfer and that was a great change of pace from the lecture.
But!
The most important thing was the GROUP was really loving learning in a setting where everyone started with some TGM knowledge.
It was the ESSENCE of what a Golfing Machine Summit would be:
How this for a line-up.....all half day presentations
Lynn Blake - Explaining the book (just as he always does so well), plus his Homer stories.
Ben Doyle - On the early days with Homer, Q and A about all the mis-told second hand stories, his take on why he teaches what he does and what he thinks of the other 'schools' of TGM thought.
Chuck Evans - On his TGM experience, Sally, The big 'deal', and why he teaches what he does.
Ron Gring - Working with PGA Tour Players, teaching in a small market, and his TGM experience
Rob Noel - Teaching TGM at a "Golf Academy" and traing a staff, PGA Tour lessons and his TGM story.
Brian Manzella - "Results Oriented" Teaching, The internet, how to build a a teaching business at a driving range with competitors, and his TGM< story
Joe Daniels - On his 100 year plan and the "state-of-the union"
etc, etc
and a Massive On the Range Teach FEST!!!
How bout it?
This is the Ideal, The Summit so long discussed within the Inner Circle. From that crucible will emerge the future of The Golfing Machine.
It is a place for Practitioners only. We must learn first from ourselves. Only then can we fulfill the dream of Homer Kelley...the correct information in the hands of all who would build a more efficient, effective Golf Stroke.
What an experience! The instruction and information were presented in a dynamic and easy to understand fashion. Lynn's passion for TGM and his desire for spreading the word were very evident from the moment he walked in the door till the moment he left. We never stopped learning.
He was energetic and impressive throughout his whole presentation and it picked up even more when we hit the range. He demonstrated as well as he taught, his ability to hit and then re-program and swing was admirable. Then he was able to go through all of us and within a matter of minutes make adjustments that immediately improved the quality of strike as well as flight of the ball. It would seem hard to believe if I had not seen it with my own eyes.
I was giving a lesson to a college player the following day, and afterwards he put it in the best words, he said it felt like cheating because it was so easy. I attribute the improvement in my ability to teach TGM to a few experiences. First having the great opportunity to work at the Rob Noel Golf Academy. Working along side Rob Noel, Buzzy Brown, and Tom Danos has been invaluable, I feel like I learn something new everyday. Second going through the Bachelor level authorization with Joe Daniels. And thirdly the couple of days I was able to spend learning from Lynn, he seems to bring it all together. Thanks for the experience, I hope to continue to learn.
I am so jealous that I couldn't be there, it sounds like it was a great group!
Brian, pull off this summit and alot of people will be greatly indebted to you for ever!!!
