The TGM thoughts have helped and are starting to really make golf fun. I have been able to experiment and perform Hitting and swinging and will stick with hitting for now simply because I do not have to even warm up to hit good shots. What I have noticed is unusual bursts of length with the short irons. I have flown more than a few 175 yard shots to the pin clear over the green with my 7 iron-used to play it for 160. Am I over-swinging it a bit, getting the ball position wrong or am I going to have to recalibrate my yardages because this is what pure ball-striking with a solid hit will give me--SCARY? All other indicators are fine, my divots are usually dollar sized and I have been finishing nice and balanced.
I have noticed my driver distance seems just a little shorter hitting than with swinging, but far more accurate and still plenty long enough. Is this correct?
