In this video when Yoda talks about the hitter - he says "He kranks". What does that mean?

I think Yoda is referring to the fact that for the hitter there is a slight holding back of the right shoulder as the hips slide. This momentary pause allows the right arm to drive off the right shoulder and then thrust towards the ball.
I am not a hitter but that that is what I got from the video.
