One of my playing partners mentioned something to me yesterday that clicked - coming too far inside on the takeaway, getting 'flat' and coming too much from the inside on the downstroke. Probably a compensation to the over the top move i had been fighting for a while. Has anyone experienced this i.e. plane ok with the irons but too flat with woods? it seems to be the longer clubs which cause the problem... my irons are basically straight and high with a gentle 3 or 4 foot draw in the long irons.
