I could let that slide if he hadn't had some 'confusion' over where his ball had been in a bunker when play was halted, several tournaments later. In that one, play was halted, he had a terrible (feet perhaps out, ball in)lie in a bunker. He picked up his ball without marking and the following day replaced it in ... surprise! a rather nice lie. It could be coincidence... but ya' know what..I wouldn't be playing Monty for money unless I was friends with the guy who was caddying for him...and Monty wasn't. So I can't root for him anymore.
That is a very unfair statement. The putting indident was very contentious and was both "proved" and "disproved "by British TV.The Malaysia issue was officiated by the PGA.Monty is not a cheat.
