You only need about a pound of pressure (I think) to make it happen. Homer suggested stiffer shafts for all levels of player. I think he thought torque to be more disruptive as far as shaft characteristics go. Taking him up on the suggestion I put DG x100 shafts in my irons. As bizarre as it may sound I am now better able to seperate club head from club face. Impact sounds a lot "harder" than it used to.
