Daryl,

How would you recommend going about staying in your posture? How does waist bend alter impact conditions? Why does coming out of your posture prevent tilting the axis and clearing the right hip. I know it does but I lack an effective book-based description.

Sincerely,

Okie
Stan,

Go to the top of your swing . . . take the club down to where your left arm would be parallel to the ground in your downstroke . . . now stand up . . . look at what the shaft does . . . lays down right? Your hands are going to end up being too far away from you if you continue swing "out" from there you have to throw your wrist at the ball because of the adjusted radius . . . all of your vectors are RIGHT (imagine a side hill lie with ball below your feet). So you have to uncock your wrist early to get to the ball and arch it so you don't hit a giant push slice . . . you also have disrupted #3 and are totally dependent on #2 . . . any amount of roll and you stand a chance of getting the snapper too. Two way miss time.

The other option is to swipe a cross it and hit a shrimper . . .

Hips clearing and not going toward the plane line keep the hands and shaft on the intended plane. I know it's a hands controlled pivot but the can compensate for only so much. If your hips are going toward the plane line and not parallel to your delivery line then your right hip CAN'T clear . . . goathumpers hands get out away and up too.
