Hands controlled pivot...
Sounds like you have developed a feel which produces a straighter line delivery of thrust, usually requiring more axis tilt and leads to triiger delay. Hands controlled pivot...or "intention to move" hands- controlled pivot.

Within a coordinated system and framework ( imperatives and essentials provide this), the intention to move the hands can cause the pivot to move. Why ? because it is the pivot that initiates the movement of the shoulders, which move the arms and hence the hands. So the thing that initiates the movement (pivot) can certainly work out how to initiate the movement and then deal with the consequences... cerebellum has learnt that stuff.

Now would this occur if you did not have a stationary post concept? without sustaining lag pressure or straight plane line?? The hands would move but not in the coordinated manner you describe... at least that is my current understanding.

Cerebellum does it all for you .

With your extra tilt... try it until the quality of your impact degrades....at that point you have probably broken "straight plane line" or "stationary post"

The amount of axis tilt must , to some degree, be limited by one's flexibilty also... You can not do max trigger delay/snap release unless you have quite alot of flexibilty.... at least that is my excuse for going back to more circle path/ random release... but straighter shots and more control with no back pains more than make up for the few yards lost!!
