Go in a bunker, ala Ben Doyle and double check impact. The Bunker will tell you rather cruely if you are making solid impact through the ball or striking sand first. Can't hurt. Then go bring your ball brand on a golf course he hit some. And don't think an angled hinge can't produce a loud and solid impact. Its the circle not the hinge motion. Practice "Yoda's Secret", this small angled hinge motion will attract a crowd. Even old wound balls will bark

I hear ya. You must be right. There's no other explanation. Ball flight doesn't paint the whole picture.
I don't have sand available. 23 degrees today. My only choice has been an indoor range. I must not be perfectly striking the ball first. Today, I'll drive it into the Matt.

A drill Lynn had us do around the putting green at Pine Needles. A play on Norman's secret (and costs nothing- just your soul in the long run) training aid.
Here is the link- a very posts down and you will see some pictures and text
http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/forum/s...oda%27s+secret
teaches impact via PP3 and the bent LEVEL right wrist down thru low point. Ball has no chance but comply.
