In one of the editions (I'm thinking the 3rd) Mr. Kelley talks about the Parallel Hip Slide . . . basically the 2-J-3 Equivalents require the Pivot to comply more precisely the Hip Action/Motion. So you want Hip Slide to be PARALLEL to the selected Delivery Line (or Arc).
