Thought a few folks might have enjoyed the read here. My sipping preference though is for Whisky (not Whiskey - although I have been privileged to sip some reasonable Hibernian offerings). I take mine neat for the same reasons that you only add ice to yours - I like the taste and flavours. Lynn's reference to Islay and their wonderful Lagavulin prompted my intervention into this thread as I have just finished a bottle of that beautiful distillation. Highly recommended, smooth, rich and full of soft peaty after taste. I will report later on the Blair Athol, single malt from the foothills of the Grampian Mountains, Perthshire, that I started on yesterday.
